ArtFire Stores

ArtFire - Buy Handmade - Sell Handmade
Have you heard of ArtFire? It's a great place to have an online store if you are a crafter or craft supplier. Register on ArtFire.com before March 1st, 2010 and your monthly fee is only $12! After that it's still only $15.95. With that you get your own store, and a kiosk you can integrate into your Facebook page (check out the Captive Illusions ArtFire Kisok). You can easily integrate into your blog too like we did below in our other places to find us area.

For a limited time (they haven't announced the end yet) if you get 12 people to sign up after you are a member, you can get a "Free Ride" and not pay for your store, ever! Referals must sign up from your link as a verified (paid) member, and can't start as a free member and upgrade. OK, I'll be honest, we'd love to have a Free Ride with ArtFire, but it is well worth the month, considering how little it costs. It's easy to use (you can import Etsy listings too), easy to integrate, and you can put in links to other sites you have, they have a great tool built right in for it! The only bad thing I could possible say about ArtFire is that they haven't been around for a really long time, so they are still building their buyers and sellers, which just means you'd be getting in on the leading edge! They are growing by leaps and bounds, and by no means are they still a little site. With over a million listings having been posted, they are well on the way to being HUGE! You've got very little to lose by trying them out. If you are a part time crafter with just a few things to list, and don't want to integrate your store anywhere, then the free version may be for you (you can only list quantities of 1, and can have up to 12 listings), but if you are a serious crafter or supplier of crafters, you need to go for the Verified account.

There are so many more features to the verified account that you can't get with the free version. A great feature that you may not think about when creating a store, is the Guilds. You can join Guilds of like minded crafters, it's a little community of people on ArtFire that you have something in common with. Give them a shot, you may be pleasantly surprised.
